Published on: Monday 16 May 2022
Launched in 2016, the Mali Support to Agro-Industrial Competitiveness Project (PACAM, its acronym in French) has: (i) increased mango exports to international markets by 30.6 percent (that is, 37, 420 tons as of 2022); (ii) connected production areas to markets, with 300 kilometers (km) of rural roads rehabilitated, directly benefitting 70 villages by connecting them to larger markets; and (iii) provided matching grants to finance the construction of beef production infrastructure, such as animal housing and water points, the purchase of livestock and animal feed, as well as access to veterinary services.
